Uma técnica comum nos anos 80 era ilustrar com camadas de papel recortados e sobrepostos que poderiam ou não receber tinta. No final dos anos 90 isto evoluiu para trabalhos de ilustração feitos apenas com papel branco recortado e colado em varias camadas criando imagens tridimensionais.
O efeito obtido eh realmente fantástico. Hoje existem vários artistas principalmente no Japão que dominam esta técnica.
No trabalho abaixo, segue um exemplo bem básico da construção de imagem por camadas de papéis pintados e sobrepostos. O desenho foi feito em Ecoline com alguns detalhes em gouache sobre papel Fabriano.
Dica
“Sempre que fizer um trabalho onde haja sobreposição de recortes e colagens, procure passar em toda a borda das peças que serão montadas uma tinta nas mesmas cores do desenho de cada parte. Isto evitará que na hora da montagem, apareçam as bordas brancas do papel.”
PAINTING & GLUING
A common technique in the 1980s was to illustrate with cut and overlapping paper layers that might or might not receive ink. In the late 1990s this evolved into illustration works made only with white paper cut out and glued in several layers creating three-dimensional images.
The effect is really fantastic. Today there are several artists mainly in Japan who dominate this technique.
In the work below, a very basic example of layered and overlapping layered image construction follows. The drawing was made in Ecoline with some details in gouache on paper Fabriano.
Tip
"Whenever you do a job where there are overlapping cutouts and collages, try to pass along the edge of the pieces that will be mounted an ink in the same colors of the drawing of each part. This will prevent the white edges of the paper from appearing at the time of assembly."
